Hi everyone,

I am relatively new to the industry, and have been trying to plot out a direction for my career in environmental engineering (focused mainly on remediation) in California. I am working towards getting my PE license, but I am having trouble sifting through some of the other certifications that are offered by many associations. My company is willing to pay for tests/application fees, but I want to make sure the certifications are worthwhile before I invest time and money. The main ones I am looking at are:
CEP (Certified Environmental Professional from ABCEP)
REP (Registered Environmental Professional from NREP)
REM (Registered Environmental Manager from AAEES)
QEP (Qualified Environmental Professional from IPEP)
BCEE (Board Certified Environmental Engineer from AAEES)
RHSP (Registered Hazardous Substances Professional from NEHA)
CGWP (Certified Ground Water Professional from NGWA)

Does anyone know anything about the usefulness or validity of any of these? Any advice is much appreciated! Thanks!
