Foam, water spray / fog, dry chemical powder or carbon dioxide are suitable for EPS.

sv879, Which one is better? foam or water?

I guess foam system could damage the EPS properties more than water system.Do you agree with me?

Foam complicates the design and reduces the reliability of the automatic sprinkler system. Second, foam must be listed for a specific hazard so you must select the correct foam for the stored hazard. You should seek the assistance of a Registered Professional Engineer licensed to practice Fire Protection Engineering.

Both NFPA 13 and Factory Mutual (FM) Data Sheet 8-9 have design criteria for the storage depending on if you have rack storage or pallets on the floor. But as Stookefire has stated get professional help this is a tough commodity to protect and if done wrong can go bad very fast.
