Never rename a linear pattern feature dimension.
If you use a renamed dimension from a linear pattern feature in an equation you are in trouble. When editing the feature of a linear pattern, the names of the renamed dimension return to D1 automatically & the equation cannot be solved.

Since when? I have often done this without problem.

What version & SP are you using.

Have you tried repairing SW.

No but I called SolidWorks company and they told me that they knew that issue.

The problem is for a component pattern only sorry.
Not feature pattern.
