Does any one know the equivalent insulation level (BIL) of 600 V Insulated cable?

Any reference or article will be appreciated.

Thanks

In IEC World BIL it is a type test requirement.
However only from 1.8/3[3.6] kV and above.
See IEC 60502-1 ch.17.4 Impulse test for cables of rated voltage 1,8/3 (3,6) .
So, in my opinion ,no such a requirement for 0.6/1[1.2] kV rated insulation cable.
It is very interesting to see what cuky2000 said 10 years ago about “power cable BIL”.

I have done HVDC testing on 1000V XLPE building wire. I placed the wire in a conductive bath without any stress relief at the air/water interface and raised the test voltage. It held 50 kVdc for one minute. I would suggest a 25 kVpeak "BIL" rating for 600 Volt XLPE building wire would be reasonable.
