Erasing Pipe Centerlines

Hello, we have an assembly drawing of a motor. One of the subassemblies have wire that we created using the pipe feature. The problem we are having is that in the drafting mode, the centerlines of the pipes show up no matter what the view state is. We have not been able to find a way of erasing them. These pipes were created in Pro/E and not Pro/Piping (which we do not have). Has anybody run into this problem, and is there a way around it?

Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving,
Ben

Hi Ben,

Hopefully this helps:

1. Create a layer and call it pipe_cl or such like
2. Add features>all of type>pipes to that layer
3. Turn the Layer off in your drawing

Your advice worked, I was able to make them disappear in the drawing. Is this some sort of flaw in the software? One would think that something like that could be taken care of in the show/erase menu.

Anyways, thanks for your help. This thing was driving me nuts!

Ben,
There is a config.pro option, PIPE_SOLID_CENTERLINE which will control the display of solid pipe centerlines. This option, when set to yes, will cause pipe solid centerlines to conform to hidden line removal standards. If the option is set to no, which is the default, the centerlines will display through all solids and surfaces regardless of the hidden line removal standard.
