Hello all,

I am a structural engineer and I have been asked by a local environmental group to design an erosion control structure as part of one of their projects. I would love to get involved with this project! Does anyone have any good resources for the design of erosion control structures I can take a look at?

Go to the web sites for US Navy Facilities Engineering group, US Corps of Engineers under Geotechnical engineering subjects. Also be aware of filtering requirements such as for rip-rap placed on soil. You don't want fine soil to erode out via the voids in coarse rock. US Corps of Engineers has done a lot of study on gradation requirements in these cases.
