I've never heard of this before. However, uninstalling and re-installing (which it sounds like you've already done) would be my first thought.

If that didn't work, my only alteration would be to uninstall it, then RE-NAME the folder where it gets installed into BEFORE you re-install. I've noticed that some programs do NOT remove all files when they uninstall. Therefore, if a weird / corrupted file is causing this problem, it could still be around.

SOLVED!!

Open your folder: User>[Username]>AppData>Local>Computer and Structures>[your SAP2000 folder] and then delete the SAP2000 (confugration setting).
This happens because your SAP2000 file is corrupted and you need to replace it by reopening SAP2000 soon after you delete the file.

The “Error 9: Subscript out of range” message in SAP2000 typically indicates that the program is attempting to access an array element or a collection item that does not exist. This can occur due to various reasons, including corrupted files, issues with user settings, or problems with the installation itself.

1.If the installation files are corrupted, it may lead to unexpected behavior when launching the software.
2.Sometimes, user-specific settings or preferences can become corrupted, leading to errors upon startup.
3. If there are compatibility issues with your operating system or other installed software, this could also trigger such errors.
4. SAP2000 relies on certain libraries and components; if these are missing or not properly registered, it may cause errors.
5.Navigate to the directory where SAP2000 stores its user preferences. This is typically found in your user profile under Documents\Computers and Structures\SAP2000.
6.Look for any configuration files (often with extensions like .ini or .xml) and rename them (e.g., append _old to their names). This will force SAP2000 to create new default preference files upon launch.
7.Since you have already attempted reinstallation, ensure you follow these guidelines:
8.Uninstall SAP2000 completely from your system via Control Panel
9.Delete any remaining folders in C:\Program Files\Computers and Structures\SAP2000 (or wherever it was installed).
10.Restart your computer.
