Hi all,

I am getting this error in ABAQUS when I include a load input file in the original input file.

***ERROR: A CONCENTRATED LOAD HAS BEEN SPECIFIED ON NODE 0 . THIS NODE IS NOT ACTIVE IN THE MODEL

I dont have a node 0 in my model and I checked my load input file completely and i am sure that I didnot specify any concentrated load accidentally on node 0. Is there any other possible cause for this,

PLEASE HELP,

Maddy.

I didn't know node '0' was allowed. Check to see if you have something like this:
*CLOAD
....
, 2 , 5000.0
....
in other words, have you got a comma as the first non-blank in a line somewhere in CLOAD? This would be taken to be node zero.

Thanks for replying mrgoldthorpe.

I have checked even that. i.e syntax of cload. Then again I started from scrach and this time got a error msg saying that a concentrated load is specified on node 7 which is not active in the model. I noticed that node 7 overlapped with node 123. So i have replaced my node 7 with 123 in load file and then it worked.

May be this was the cause with the previous one too..some nodes might have been overlapped and abaqus could not recognise!!!
