Hi,

Attaching your system log (the end of it) to your question would really help us to find your problem.
Start by attaching the last 30 lines of the log. Then we'll see what we can do for you.

Or you can contact GTAC and have them look at your syslog.

Thanks NXLars and John. I will contact GTAC.

I have this same error and no one knows what the problem is. It is only on my machine, GTAC doesn't know yet they are working on it. In the log it happens when it is updating components.

I'm getting the same error and no none can figure out the issue. And it seems to only happen with assemblies. Has anyone figured out the problem?
Could be Windows 7??

Is the O:\... disk a network share? Otherwise try to add this share to your trusted locations in Win7.

Michaël.

The logfile posted by ChaseWichert contains the line:
"exception caught: Specified license context does not exist or no longer has any licenses reserved against it."

Have you checked the FlexLM logfile ?

I.e, have NX produce the crash, then find the Flexlm logfile and read last lines.
I.e the local computer The NX session communicates with a license server somewhere, In the NX logfile one will find a line similar to :
UGS_LICENSE_SERVER 28000@computername_xxx
Then the Flexlm server runs on the "computername_xxx", open a window to that computer and search for *ugs*.log
( Before NX8.5 the logfile was default named "ugslicensing.log" and from NX8.5 it's named "splm_ugslmd.log")

And, Btw, the "advanced Assemblies" license can sometimes be a little tricky since one can create objects in assemblies that requires ( required ?) that license when the part is opened.

Tomas

I have this same error and no one knows what the problem is. It is only on my machine, GTAC doesn't know yet they are working on it. In the log it happens when it is updating components.

Have you gotten any feedback on how to solve your problem and/or what actually causes it?

I am struggling with the same problem myself, but in addition I can't use the Stress Wizard (another C++ problem).

Hello Eng-Tips
I get the same error while trying to Create a New Component from an assembly file but Not from a part file. I notice that enable "Delete Original Objects" on Settings, trigger the error and one more thing, this happens on a specific assembly file. I guess I will use some tricks to workaround this error on that file.

Best regards

This error can occur when a spaceball is attached and Office 2007 is installed. (In this particular case workstations with the spaceball that did not have MS office installed did not encounter the error). The error occurred (or did not occur) when plugging or unplugging the spaceball. There may be other situations that can cause the error message.

Hopefully this information may be helpful,

Joe

I can confirm what jpetach stated. I have a spacepilot pro and did an update of the software a month ago, suddenly i got the same error and had to shut down NX trough task manager. Un-install of the drivers and software was initially not working, so I had to remove all the reg keys and sub keys that had 3DConnexion references in it, manually. Then installed an older driver (from 2011) which was still on our servers (thanks sys admin!) and got the whole thing working again.
Updating software and drivers is recommended but sometimes it can go wrong.

Best regards,

Michaël.

What version of spacepilot driver was installed when the issue appeared? I had 3.16.3 installed on my client a few days ago, and ever since, it has been throwing just these errors, whilst running Process Studio and separately a Visual Basic routine. Clients without the new driver run the same executable just fine.
