The frequency of these errors is increasing when trying to edit features. This is not part specific and part cleanup does not fix, only closing and re-opening the files and or session. The listing below shows an error very shortly after opening the session and only doing a few edits.

Has anyone seen this or understand what is happening?

I suggest running part cleanup with all the simple and moderate options turned on along with the "delete unused objects" option.

If that doesn't help, I suggest contacting your first level NX support.

Thanks for the reply. Cleanup has been run several times without success, looks like a call to our var.

Have a nice weekend.

Imported model ?
If it is non parametric ( = imported) try the File -Export- Heal geometry.
it creates a new partfile with cleaned bodies, removed parameters.
If it is parametric , try the Optimize Face under direct modeling.

Regards, Tomas

The more you know about a subject, the more you know how little you know about that subject.

Also make sure 2306 is updated. It had some trouble with handling STEP models on release (1700).

Hi Bleaker, thanks for the information. NX on the system is in fact 1700, I'll check with our IT about this.
