Good morning,
I am an electronics and communications engineer. I am working with my partners on establishing an OEM factory for customers.
We plan to design the earphone pieces metallic and plastic.
My question is what is the process from raw materials ---> metalwork & shaping the metal-----> Painting the Metal
*How I can add a shining finish to the product whether it is metal or plastic?
What are the manufacturing processes and what machines are needed in each manufacturing process?
Here is one example of the design needed.
Thanks, All your help and assit is highly appreciated

Its called manufacturing engineering. First you need to create a design and decide if you make the part(s) or purchase the part. If you make the part what processes are required for the part, the equipment required, the tooling required. Making a product is more than designing and designing must work hand in hand with manufacturing. If the part is make from aluminum and you want a nice finish, anodizing should be looked at for the finishing process instead of painting. A protective clear coat may be desirable on top of the anodize but you will have to decide. The volumes on earphones will required highly automated processes and equipment costs will be one of the major driving factors.

Good Luck
Bill

Are you asking about finding a manufacturer or setting up your own facility?
"OEM factory for customers"?

Thank you for taking the time to reply to my questions.
Yes i am setting up my own OEM factory
Actually anodizing will be for aluminum yes but what about using metal for earshells and microphone.
After receiving the raw materials and after cutting to correct dimensions, what process is to paint them with strong coat.
Thanks,MO

[green]To the Toolmaker, your nice little cartoon drawing of your glass looks cool, but your solid model sucks. Do you want me to fix it, or are you going to take all week to get it back to me so I can get some work done?[/green]

Star for you capnhook, that about sums up my thoughts. :)
