I'm in need of an estimated daily sewage flow for a 4,000 square foot convenience store with a Quick Service Restaurant (similar t oa Subway) inside. Can anyone help in this area?

There are many sources for this information. My favorite is Homer W. Parker's Wastewater Sytems Engineering, Prentice Hall, 1975.

If the store you are designing is part of a large chain ask them for data from their other stores. It is likely that the water use and wastewater flows from their other stores will be you best source of information.

good luck

If you are unable to get this info from the store, another place to look might be the Communities water dept.

Most of them will have monthly usage records for all of their users. Find a similar store in the community and ask the water dept. for their previous years usage.

Note that it can vary greatly dependent upon the store location and traffic volume. If the community has more than one similar store, get all the info you can and look for worst case.

Section 11 Sanitary Engineering in Hicks' Standard Handbook of Engineering Calculations McGraw-Hill may be helpful.
