Estimating the Modulus of Elasticity for Grout

An estimate of Young's Modulus for concrete is 57,000(f'c)^2. For cement grout mixes used in augercast piles (usually 3000 psi to 8000 psi), does anyone know of a similar equation to estimate the elasticity?

Based on laboratory testing, elasticity of grout is not anywhere near the elasticity of same strength concrete mixes. However, testing grout cylinders (4x8") for elasticity is problematical also.

Anyone have any ideas or correlations for estimating grout modulus? The information is used to determine the elastic compression of augercast piles under loading.

Grout manufacturers will normally provide details about modulus of elasticity. Check out Sika and MBT.
