I am outputting elemental stress results using ETABLE and the PRETAB command. The results of several hundred elements are being output to a .txt file. In the output .txt file, the element table is broken up every 40-ish elements by a few lines detailing some of the parameters of the run. I am pretty sure there is a command that will format the PRETAB output so that it will print the results of all of the elements without breaking them up every so often with run details. I cannot for the life of me remember this command, or find it in the ANSYS help. Does anyone know what command I need?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I dont recall such command. Two things to try. Cheap and dirty is to open the txt file in excel, then sort it on an appropriate column, maybe the one with the element number. The numeric data will segregate from the character data, so scroll down, find the character data and delete it, then save. Or, use *vget,parr,elem,1,etab,lab to read the etable data into an array, then *vwrite to write it to a text file.

[pre]/HEADER, Header, Stitle, Idstmp, Notes, Colhed, Minmax[/pre]

Sets specifications on or off for page and table heading print controls associated with the POST1 PRNSOL, PRESOL, PRETAB, PRRSOL, and PRPATH commands. So using

[pre]/HEAD,off,off,off,off,off,off[/pre]

will suppress subsequent printouts of headers in your listing.

Hope this helps
