ETABS 18 - Selected element does not highlight 1

Hi all,

A minor thing, but annoying the hell out of me. I just used ETABS Ultimate 18 for the first time and whenever I select a beam the beam does not highlight or change color or anything, so I cannot tell what is selected and what is not. Is there a way to change the view setting so that the selected elements actually appear different on the screen? I feel it will be very easy to make mistakes without a visual representation of what is selected. If you see the attachment, you know that something is selected because the "clear" option is there, but you cannot tell what is selected.

Try changing back to Standard graphics from the default Direct X graphics under the Options toolbar.

I think CSi have done a pretty average job on the Direct X graphics... some things make it unusable.

Interestingly enough the problem went away when I upgraded to the most recent version of ETABS 18.1.1. I hope it doesn't come back...
