Hi everyone, i have just study eurocode 8 to calculate seismic for building. One of important conditions is normalised axial force vd =< 0.65. - EC8 section 5.4.3.2.1 where : vd = N / fcd. fcd = fck / γC. ( EC2 - section 2.4.2.4) I have question about γC , because γC has two values, that is 1.2 and 1.5. so, in this case ( seismic ) which should value of γC is use , can you quota specific of code section?

Hi everyone, i have just study eurocode 8 to calculate seismic for building.
One of important conditions is normalised axial force v[sub]d[/sub] =< 0.65. - EC8 section 5.4.3.2.1
where : v[sub]d[/sub] = N / f[sub]cd[/sub].
f[sub]cd[/sub] = f[sub]ck[/sub] / γ[sub]C[/sub]. ( EC2 - section 2.4.2.4)
I have question about γ[sub]C[/sub] , because γ[sub]C[/sub] has two values, that is 1.2 and 1.5.
