Australian here using the Eurocodes for fire design of concrete columns using Method A (Clause 5.3.2).
Some of the columns I'm designing have an unsupported length of greater than 12m (therefore effective length >6m). Thus wouldn't be covered by Method A, therefore I'm looking towards Method B.
However, I can't see how the slenderness of the column reduces the fire performance of the column. Is it inherently built into the tabled values? There aren't any equations that consider slenderness.
Any guidance would be much appreciated.
