Hi ALL

Thank you very much for previous comments on EN assistance.
I have been reading through the EN 1991.1.4.2005 on wind loading. Cl. 5.3 on wind forces (Fw) calculation of Fw gives me a huge number I suppose the value is in kN.

This is for a rectangular structure(Steel gantry) elevated at 20m. length is 12m height is 1m width is 2.02m located in Spain category ii area wind velocity 40m/s

The gantry has a small area covered with roof sheeting just above it a h=900mm

Please assist anyone

Well a picture (sketch) of your system would help to understand
What do you call a 'huge' number ??
Remember Wind code is valid for the specific country only .....
be careful on the input parameter...e.g. wind speed
