One other problem with software as a service (cloud computing speciifically) that goes into licensing is that no matter what the claim by cloud computing providers, they are still downloading software onto your computer. It still as a discrete existance. The service is that their computers are running the bulk of that software at their end, but that is not the end of it. There is still a product transfered and doing something on your own computer.
