Please tell me the exact industrial application of following valves. For example gate valve, it is used to isolate equipment but for that purpose , we can also use globe valve or butterfly valve. Please explain me the exact application of each valve that in which condition we will use which valve? I have tried to find this on internet but not get specific answer
Gate valve
Globe valve
Needle valve
Butterfly Valve
Diaphragm valve

They can all be used for isolation

Globe valve, needle and diaphragm valves can typically be used to control flow

Butterfly valve also used to control flow, typically in low pressure water systems

Needle valve more commonly seen in small bore in instrument usage

Diaphragm valve useful in dirty service or viscous fluids

Within each category there are many different variants so "the exact application of each valve " is not possible.

different fluids, pressures, flows could change the application.
