Hi All,
Is there a way to temporary exclude/ignore an part/mesh from a 3D solve?
When a 2D mesh is used you can un-check the box "export mesh to solver" and then that part is not used in the solve.
But is there such an easy way to ignore an 3D mesh in an solve?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I do not use NX but if you want to deactivate part of the mesh, I mean, no considering it, the easiest way to do it is removing that component. Maybe I did not understand what you need, so I can be wrong.

Thank you for your answer.
Yes, it's possible to remove an part in 3D, but I want to ignore an part temporarily in an solve, and use it again in a next solve.
If I remove it, I also have to add it again, create a mesh and all the connections. While in 2D I can un-check the box "export mesh to solver" of a part to ignore it until I check that box again. Much easier.

Hi
Isn't that something that you control in the pre-processor? What part of the mesh should be included in the analysis. Usually (in Femap) I select "Entire Model" but I can make other choices, like a group.
