Exhaust gas blower housing dismantling

Hi

I have an EGB in front of me, and I would like to open it, because there is a small component which has melted inside of it.
The EGB looks like this (see link):

In the picture, on the curved side, one can see that there is some kind of bolt (it looks rough and fragile in reality) with something black (it's a spring) under it. It is this bolt that stops me from opening the case, because I don't know its function.
So my question is: what is this bolt with the spring under it for? If I open the housing, will I be able to close it again as before without too much trouble?

Have you tried to contact the manufacturer or the manufacturer's representative for help with this problem? Normally, they are very helpful in answering reasonable questions and helping to resolve application problems.

Valuable advice from a professor many years ago: First, design for graceful failure. Everything we build will eventually fail, so we must strive to avoid injuries or secondary damage when that failure occurs. Only then can practicality and economics be properly considered.

No not yet. It's a blower that came from a gas boiler, and the application of a bolt with a spring under it sounds familiar to me, but I just can't place it for the moment, so I thought may be it was something very common. I'll contact the manufacturer, thanks for your reply.
