Exhaust header fatigue analysis 1

I would like to use FEA to get a handle on the life expectancy of a cast stainless steel collector used on an exhaust header for light trucks and SUVs. Will I need to consider inputs from both the suspension of the vehicle and the engine or just the suspension?

You will need to consider vehicle G levels (pot holes, etc...),engine vibration, and thermal expansion. Most of the exhaust failures I have seem were due to thermal expansion. Good luck.
