Does anyone know where to find the code requirement for sealing a penetrating duct through a ceiling that is not fire rated? The duct supplies heated air, and the building is sprinklered throughout. We checked NFPA 96 and couldn't find anything relating to sealing the penetration and it being firestopped. We checked the building code and came across the clauses relating to separating dissimilar environments. Thank you!
