Hay,
I use info on exotic tapers from earlier days, sometimes I find info (on old drawings or tables) that are different from the info that I use.
For tapers which are defined in a DIN or ISO -norm, there's no problem. But what with these things?
What I like to know for certain is what and how are the these tapers defined:

BROWN & SHARP-tapers(NR.#1-->18-???)

JACOB-tapers(NR.#0-1-2-2a-3-4-5-6-33-???)

FELLOWS-tapers(NR.#MTS1-2-3-4-FT1-FT2-???)

JARNO-tapers(NR.#2-->20-???)

Regards.

Use the machinery handbook. It is the accepted standard of almost everyone in industry as far as tapers go. Tapers can be defined as taper per foot, single angle, or included angle. Who you are giving specifications to should determine how to express the taper on a print or drawing.

Hay all,
Thanks for the tip.
I did find the data on Red Brown & Sharp tapers, Red Jarno tapers and Red Jacobs tapers.
Only the GreenFellows tapers I didn't find.

A STANDARD LARGE FELLOWS TAPER IS .6255 INCHES PER FOOT. As for the standard sizes, I could not find my chart. If I run across anything, I'll post back here.

I have got the information that Fellows taper has Big end dia 1.062".

There is no such thing as late as somebody someday might find the info useful!

I tried the link but does not seem to work.
