Expansion joints in wood buildings

I am working on a new 3 story wood building on footings. The building is 400’ long. There is no masonry or long runs of steel beams. The roof is pre-engineered wood trusses and the floors are TJI.

The issue is if a building expansion joint is recommended. A joint would definitely be supplied with a steel or masonry building. Has anyone had experience with a wood building of this side with or without an expansion joint? Are there any publications addressing expansion joints in wood structures?

Your wood will be shrinking not expanding.
Use of good construction techniques and having adequate shear walls is important.
