Is it possible to export the settings (preferences) so that I open up another draftsight on a different computer that will be set up with the same options and preferences ?

Hi, first time poster here. I realize this is an old thread but thought I might add something, since I just went thru this. Exporting a profile, then importing it on another system will work as long as the systems are running the same operating systems, i.e. the directory structures are exactly the same. I found this out by importing my linux draftsight profile, into a win xp installation. Couldn't figure out why "Help" didn't work. Started looking at the .xml file and noticed the path callout to /bob/home/..... and realized the problem. It is possible to edit the .xml file (which I did) but then you realize that there are several path callouts to change, and as easy as it is to re-create the profile, it's best to do it that way. In my case I have three profiles created linux, xp, and vista. Hope this helps somebody else!

Regards
Bob
