Hello,
We are using Enovia VPM with structure exposed storing mechanism and now there is a need to give several assemblies to extrenal supplier which hasn't VPM (only standalone CatiaV5). Supplier should create drawings for these assemblies and then we have to import all data back somehow, keeping in mind that drawing links should stay alive. Is there any way to manage it?Using Reconciliator tool in CatiaV5 is not an option in my case.I can open an assembly, save it localy as CATProduct and send it to supplier, but how I will import back drawing which he will create for this CATProduct?!

Hi, you have some issues here my friend. The Reconsilliator would deal with these issues but if that is not an option you need to test and develop a method.
With structure exposed there is no physical catproduct in the system and is an issue when working outside enovia to create the assembly drawing.

If you don't plan to update the drawing you could just import the drawing document as primary to the enovia part.

I haven't tried this but try to create an assembly drawing the enovia way with a link, say a front view. Export everything and complete the drawing, import the drawing back, try check out/check in. Verify that the links are ok. If this works then you could supply the drawing to your supplier.

Hi:)Thank you for fast reply. Reconsilliator is good solution, but problem is that it wants to save data in VPMENV1 environment and DOCUMENT table, while in my case Enovia is customized and environment and table names are differs. Hence if I try to save some structure to Enovia using Reconsilliator, I have to retype environment and table names for each component of this structure. Sometimes there are thousands of parts in the structures..So I’d like to use this way, but it’s too slow and needs a lot of handwork.

What I should use to export everything correctly?:)

There a couple of ways of exporting, I can't really say which one is best for you, you need to try so the method you are using is working and of course document it your others at your company.

If I'm not mistaken there is an API for exporting from enovia, check with the IT people or programmers if there are any. In enoiva I'm not sure if you can export an assembly know of some ways of exporting but they are one at the time. I would try with catia first, save managment or DMU data flow.

Aren't there global settings/filters in reconsilator you can apply so it matches local parts with parts in Enovia??
