I want to Export expressions in NX1975. I have some expressions that are driven by formula, the export gives me the formula not the value. Is it possible to change this?
Simple example I currently get this;
p20 = 50
p30 = 5
p40 =p20 / p30

I want the expression file to show p40= 10.

Thanks

Thank you. I've never ventured into journals, I am using an NXOpen app (not written by me) to update the part with an expressions file and write out the new expressions file. Perhaps this app (only visible as a bunch of .dll files to me) can be edited to do what I'm asking.
Else my work around is idea is to draw a line with the expression length and measure the length of the line associatively, but this is a bit goofy.
Thanks for the swift response - at least I know its not something simple I'm missing out on.

Are you doing this repeatedly ?
there is an alternative way of doing this if it's not that frequent.
Go : Menu - Information- Expression - list all
this will list both the formula but also the value.
do a save as of this listing to .txt ( remove the xml formatting.
Open the .txt in Excel select the A column and -> Data tab - Text to columns - tick "space" and "other" set = in the other -Finish
you can then delete the unwanted columns.

Regards,
Tomas
