Exporting Mathcad worksheet to Excel or as an independent program

Hi!
The title says it all.
Im asking this because I would like to give my friend an sheet that I made for designing a RC section.
The problem is that he doesnt have Mathcad.
Can he somehow use this without the need to instal Mathcad?

No. Your friend can install a 30 day trial to benefit from your sheet. Those trials are available for Mathcad 15 and for Prime. Unfortunately there is no Mathcad Reader as we had it up to for version 7 (or 8?) Prime Express (the crippled version Prime falls back after the trial period) does not qualify as reader because it won't let you evaluate those so called premium features like programs. solve blocks, etc.
Mathcads export to Excel does apply to selected data only. You can export a matrix to Excel but not all whole MC sheet including the calculation formulas.

You could try SMath Studio

- as long as you are using Mathcad "Classic" (v15 or earlier), and don't use too many "advanced" features. It is a freeware application that attempts to "clone" Mathcad (v15 and earlier, but not Prime), and it does a pretty good job of importing basic Mathcad files.

Why? Even if you could export, you'd lose any semblance of maintaining the units system. You'd almost be better off embedding the Mathcad calculation inside of an Excel worksheet, which could be done with Mathcad's Excel add-in.

I don't know, maybe he wants to give a Mathcad worksheet to a friend, but the friend doesn't have Mathcad, or something.

I presume you need Mathcad to use an Excel worksheet with embedded Mathcad, so that doesn't help.

The only way around it I can see is to translate the Mathcad code to VBA, which I'm sure would be doable, but not a quick job. I don't see the units as being a big problem, just define the input and output units (or use a VBA units routine, if you must have user selected units).
