Befuddled

I have a very large assembly, the only way I can visualise this whole assembly is to use facets.

Due to the size of the assembly, it is not possible to create an associative drawing of the assembly as I can’t have both parts open at the same time. I am currently using the assembly hidden line command to created & export geometry which will be used to define the views in a drawing.

This process works really well, and gives me a very small drawing part file size.

I need to create a section view of this faceted assembly. By using the ‘view > Operation > Section’ command I can get the view I want, however I have no method to export this view as the hidden line command doesn’t render the view correctly

Does anyone have any ideas?

Cheers in advance.

When you say export the view where do you want to export it to and why? What methods have you tried?

Maybe a CGM would work as well and any other option.

Cheers
