Hi,
I'm exporting from NX4 (4.0.3.3) to a JT file. when I open the JT file in VisView to confirm the exporting, the component properties are empty (right-click on component and choose Properties).

This is working correctly for other people in the department. We all have the same environment config and the same versions of UG and visview.

I'm stumped...

When you say it is working correctly for other people in the department - they are translating over the same (component, subassembly, assembly?) or their own files?

they are using different "jobs" but for testing, we did the same the job and parts on 2 different computers. One worked correctly (properties were displayed) and the other one (mine) came up empty.

I will see if I can get a screen shot of the two properties windows to exlain a little better.

I'd have a look in the customer defaults and see if there are any settings for JT files that you can change.

Best Regards

Hudson

but its strange that 10 other people are using the same environment file (located on the server) and they are working correctly.

They are all Dell Precision 690 Workstations with Windows XP Pro 64bit. UGNX4 4.0.3.3 patch level. They all point to the server for the environment file.

I thought of a commonality between myself and another guy, but that is different from everyone else.

We're both setup for dual boot, XP32 as the C:\ and XP64 as E:\. The programs are all installed on the respective drive. that is, NX4 and VisView are installed on both C: and E:.
