extending RX campaigns between cleanings

Our emulsion polymerization reactors have to be cleaned periodically due to film formation, scrap, foam, coagulum, etc. Our final products film at ~ room temperature. I need to extend the number of batches between cleanings to get more productivity. Any suggestions on how to do this would be appreciated!

What you're trying to do is to stop the emulsion from sticking to the reactor. The smoother the surface the less material that will stick to it. A glass lined reactor is optimal, if this is what you have then other than rinsing the walls between batches there's not a lot else you can do. If your reactor isn't glass lined you could have the inside polished. Stainless steel can be polished to be as smooth as glass or maybe just smoother than it is now. If you do highly polish it then it has to be treated with care to retain the polish.

There may be some spray that you can stop or delay the sticking if you use the spray on the reactor wall. What do not know what exactly they are. YOu may search google..
