extracting contact force in history output and field output

hello, everyone.
I am modeling an impact simulation and want to extract the force as an output variable
I Chose contact force in the field output and contact force in the history output too.
but the contact force that I can get from the field output is almost 16N and the contact force from the history output is nearly 60N.
I am wondering why there is so much difference.
does anyone have any idea?

I assume that you are talking about Abaqus. Can you share screenshots from field output and history output definition windows ?

[FEA way]

CFN requested for history output is total force while CFORCE gives you a contour plot of contact force distribution across the surface. You would have to sum the latter to compare with CFN.
