Hello,

I work in a chemical plant and we have been experiencing high volumes of foam in our main stream process and back end operations. We inject surfactant into our system so that our final product can be washed of any contaminents and some where in the middle and end of operations, it causes extreme foaming. Besides anti foam liquids, do any of you know of a machine that can either eliminate the foam, slow it down, or remove the surfactant from the end process??

Any ideas would be of great help,

Thanks.

My experience is that anti-foams are application specific.
Meaning one antifoam is not effective across a variety of applications.
Also antifoams are dosage sensitive meaning a minimum concentration is required.
I once experienced having to double antifoam dosage after making a very minor bulk formulation change.
The vendor that sells you antifoam should be able toprovide technical help.
