Fastener for Threaded rod !

Hi all.
I need some help regarding to deside a fastener for a threaded rod.
The rod should be fixed in the length direction on both side, and free to rotate around its' own axis.
It should look like the one in the attachment.


I mainly looking for a website with the state of art regarding to this problem, but any ideas or other help would be great.

I hope someone can help me.

It appears that you have a shaft with a threaded portion in the center, with its ends confined inside bushings. It is the bushings that need to be confined and fastened, not the rod. What supports the bushings/rod assembly?
 
Let me put it this way:
This is just a simple modell, i'm detailing it now. It's suppose to be a pipeconstrutction with a threaded rod.
The rod has to be fastened to the pipes. And my question is; what should I have inside the pipeparts to fastening the rod to the pipe? (Both pipeparts are fixed to other pipeparts, so they can't rotate(not showed on the picture))
It should be in a way that the rod can't slip out the axial way. It still needs to has the oportunity to rotate around it's own axis. I've consider set screws and bearings. I need other ideas.

So the threading is basically a red herring?

OK..if the other "pipe parts" can't separate in the axial direction of the rod, then all you need is a fitted bushing in the "pipe parts" to allow the rod to rotate and to confine it laterally and axially.
 
is the thread meant to support the upper pipe ? if so, you need a nut and washer underneath the upper pipe.

are the pipe fittings threaded, or clearence ?

maybe you need jam nuts to lock th epipe in their relative positions ??
 
What materials are being used?
What forces are involved?
How many RPM?
How many cycles per minute/hour/day?

These are some of the questions you or your teacher need to supply.
 
I've found some bushings i can use.
