Fasteners through Truss Plates

What is the common procedure for installing fasteners at connections where there is also a truss plate? My application is a post frame ag building and specifically attaching knee braces to trusses and trusses to columns. Fasteners include wood screws and 0.20" diam. ring shank nails.

Because of NDS spacing requirements I'm finding that the 0.20" nails work best for the truss connections to 4ply Glulam columns to resist uplift. NDS Table C12.1.6.6 lists spacing requirements for nails and includes a prebored option. Are these prebore holes drilled through the truss plates?

thank you

What I've heard from truss suppliers is that anything that gets driven in without pre drilling (nails, screws) are likely okay to pass through the plate. If it's bolts or pre drilled holes then I usually seek out their approval. My experience is fairly limited on this though.
