Dear members,
I am evaluating fatigue life of welded joint of sheet metal (t=1.5-2mm), and I refer to the IIW Recommendation for fatigue assessment of welded structures by notch stress analysis, IIW-2006-09, where it states that when Von Mises stress is used, a corresponding smaller FAT class applies, and a reduction by at least one fatigue class is recommended.
So what is the FAT class below FAT630? Is there an overview of all fatigue classes? Is there a general rule/relation among these FAT classes?
Thanks.
Best regards,
William
