Hi
Sorry for my first post being a problem, however I am currently badly in need of help in relation to the analyse of the spring stiffness in a conical spring. I have tried multiple analyse methods however the deformation of the spring is not occurring as taught and is penetrating through the rigid body. I currently am examining the spring using two rigid bodies each side with a load acting down on one of the bodies. However the setup I am using results in the job aborting with an error message of ''too many attempts have been made on this increment''.I have looked at other threads in relation to this issue however the suggestions did not work. If i could get some help in resolving this issue it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

It would be best to post your cae or inp file so that people can examine it. Or be very specific about you model, materials, contact conditions...
