FEA ANALYSIS FOR A HEADER PIPE WITH STUB IN ANSYS/NASTRAN

Hello

Is there any book/ reference report of Ansys /Inventor Nastran FEA Software.

Am in need of performing a Header pipe having a Stub with End plate on both ends with some pressure & temperature.

Can anyone Guide me as myself is fresh to FEA?

Yes all of those software packages have a user manual. Since you have no experience, you should probably invest in some training to help.

What code of construction are you following for the design? Note that if you are working to ASME VIII-1 or ASME VIII-2, there are experience requirements that need to be met. It sounds like you need to sub this out to an experienced pressure vessel designer.

Actually construction code is ASME Sec-I... If section-I is the code of design, whether we need to follow ASME VIII-1 or ASME VIII-2.

Which section in Sec I did you end up in (i.e. paragraph) that made you direct to another Code Section, like VIII-1 or VIII-2?

Yes as per the code, the Reinforcement calculation is validated.

But, As per client requirement, we want FEA for the same...

That's why......

Any book/References for this case.
