Experts,

I have query regarding FE analysis of a simple angle gearbox, which is supported by two taper roller bearing on each gear shaft. While calculating the bearing reactions, the bearing spread for a taper roller bearing will be at an offset to the geometric center of the bearing .I believe will doing a FE analysis the load shouldn't be applied on the bearing spread point rather it should be applied at the bearing center .The bearing spread is used just to calculate the bearing reactions so as to neglect the internal moments .I have considered the shaft and bearings in the FE analysis. Please let me know your view on this.

I suggest you ask the TRB manufacturer, I'm pretty sure you apply the load the at the focal point of the race.
