Hi Guys
I'm looking for some suggestions on some challenging structural problems you've faced that would've benefited from a Finite Element Analysis.
I'm looking to demonstrate some FEA results against code predicted equations and incorporate into my firm's blog...something that can be shared without any concern for clients/customers Any suggestion is fair game...I'm leaning toward something out of AISC seismic design manual or other energy method
In the past we've covered:
[ul]
[li]Blast loading on buildings using LS-DYNA finite element analysis[/li]
[li]Bolted preload connections and prying resulting from thin flanges[/li]
[li] Using symmetry to reduce FEA run-time
[li] Validation and convergence of FEA models
[/ul]
Any suggestion is fair game and would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Jeff
