The bay construction tasks resemble the placement of precast double tee beams. The Const. of MF task is the placement of columns, bracing them, attaching beams, and waiting for curing of grout.

Hello respawn,

Before I could review your CPM diagram, I would like to mention few points to consider in CPM.

Firstmost, CPM is a useful methodology to meet deadlines. Critical path method (CPM) used in multiple industries, from aerospace to software development.

four steps to consider while designing a CPM -
[ul]
[li]List all tasks before commencing your project.A work break down WBS template may help you decompose a project or large work into smaller manageable chunks of work.[/li]
[li]Determine the duration of all tasks.[/li]
[li]Determine if tasks require dependencies before moving forward.[/li]
[li]List Milestone needed for project success.[/li]
[/ul]

Hope this helps you. If you have these points in mind you can use any free templates available and customize as per your projects.

Thanks,
Sarah

CPM as embodied in something like Microsoft Project is expected to be used for both planning and monitoring of projects. As such, your task granularity should allow visibility into the project progress on a weekly basis, so your task packets should be such that something can be monitored beyond a 55% complete on a 8 month task, because you won't know that something went FUBAR for months. Your task packets need to give you visibility on actual tasks completed on a weekly basis, which would allow you to be no more than about 2 weeks behind any issues that crop up.
