What is the equation for loss between 2 like fibers (SMF-28) when there ius a glass plate (n=1.506) between them, as a function of thickness of the plate? The distance between the plate and the fiber ends may be negligble. Assume everything is aligned properly and there is the usual 4% reflection loss from each air/glass surface. [sig][/sig]
