Hi,

I would like to know the benefits of the PVC Coated RMC vs the FIBERGLASS conduit.

I have found in the FIBERGLASS conduit manufacturer web page the benefits of the FIBERGLASS conduit vs the PVC COATED RMC, but I would like to know the benefits from the other part.

Thanks for your answers.

Hi Ricardo,
You mean PVC conduit, correct?
(I have seen Fiberglass U/G ducts, but have never seen Fiberglass conduit.)

Thanks for your answer GroovyGuy, but I am looking for information about the PVC COATED CONDUIT vs FIBERGLASS CONDUIT.

Ricardo Salcedo,

My standard answer to questions like this is to ask a question. What are you trying to do? What is the substrate under the PVC?

...FIBERGLASS conduit manufacturer web page...

Ricardo, you appear to be trying to sell this stuff, that no one has heard of.

Please save us time and post the link.

Hi drawoh,
The product in question is pvc coated steel-conduit.
The following link will take you to a typical manufacturer's(ie RobRoy's Permacote) website;

I have used this stuff only once before. It takes special skill and tools to install it properly, else it looks not good. I don't understand why someone would spec this stuff, except in very special applications (ie tight space in a very corrosive atmosphere). I would usually spec a pvc coated cable, such as TECK.
