FIBERGLASS CONDUIT vs PVC COATED RMC

Hi,

I would like to know the benefits of the PVC Coated RMC vs the FIBERGLASS conduit.

I have found in the FIBERGLASS conduit manufacturer web page the benefits of the FIBERGLASS conduit vs the PVC COATED RMC, but I would like to know the benefits from the other part.

Hi Ricardo,
You mean PVC conduit, correct?
(I have seen Fiberglass U/G ducts, but have never seen Fiberglass conduit.)

My standard answer to questions like this is to ask a question. What are you trying to do? What is the substrate under the PVC?

Hi drawoh,
The product in question is pvc coated steel-conduit.
The following link will take you to a typical manufacturer's(ie RobRoy's Permacote) website;

I have used this stuff only once before. It takes special skill and tools to install it properly, else it looks not good. I don't understand why someone would spec this stuff, except in very special applications (ie tight space in a very corrosive atmosphere). I would usually spec a pvc coated cable, such as TECK.
