hi can anybody suggest what should be the best approach for fast erection of piping at plants with greater piping scope. what should be the fabrication techniques, weld mapping, support erection and piping around the equipment?? thanks

The key to construction of major or large types of piping scope is to have a complete construction package consisting of (but not limited to):

General arrangement plans and elevations
Piping isometrics for all lines 2" and above
Pipe support details and locations

I am sure there are more that others can add.

For each line system you will need to determine the type and degree of weld testing

The contractor may elect to "prefab" some pipe at his shop location

I would leave the details of the "fabrication spool drawings" to the contractor

If you have a small job you can hire a turnaround contractor to do the work with sketches rather than engineering drawings.

In either case you should plan to have a engineering (piping engineer or designer) representative available to assist the contractor during the construction phase (solves problems as they come up).

Your question is too broadly based. Modular construction might apply. The use of semi-automatic welding processes might also apply. Excellent drawings are a must. Correct pipe spools area must.

Though progress is an integrated part of quality and safety; it is highly recommended to go deeply in the previosly afformentioned inorder to acheive your targeted progress.

Obviously, there are many factors that contribute to the complexity of the piping installation required including whether or not the site is a 'brownfield' or greenfield'
