Field erection is it based on structural softwares 1

Hi,


I Have doubt IN TEKLA Software AS WELL AS SDS/2. AND I FOUND some field erection Points Various in both of them , like
EXample: IN TEKLA WE Follow Erection side for placing beam in shear tab of column to be on same side , and also see field Conditions, Crane Access, Existing Buildings access. BUT IN SDS/2 shear tab are placed in opposite side and some say it is not any issue in erection point. but in really view from erection does software play any role.

Sometimes it doesn't matter which side shear tabs are on, sometimes it does. If you are a detailer, and not just a 3D modeler, you can ask an experienced peer about the exact connection scenario. I have done thousands of connections and never needed to use any software other than Autocad to determine erectability.
