Filiform corrosion on compact disc (CD) surface

Hi there,

What is the type of metal used as reflective metal for compact disc (CD). Is it true that the base metal used as the reflective metal is aluminum? In that case, wouldn't it be highly possible for the CD surface to be subjected to filiform corrosion esp. as it is coated with polymer?
