Fill Pattern help

Hey guys! I need a small bit of help here so I don't go insane and start smashing stuff.

I am currently modeling a small project of mine and it utilizes a repetitive pattern of cuts along a face. However, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to 1) limit the number of repetitions across the space or 2) define the spacing of the pattern from either end of the object. Is there something that I am missing or do I have to brute force everything?

Are you working with a Synch or Ordered Pattern?
