Wondering if anyone has any insight into good method and material for filling an existing gravity side sewer pipe that is sloping the wrong way, but that is going to be used as a sleeve for the pressure line that is being installed to carry the effluent from a grinder pump. The primary thought is to ensure that we're not picking up flow from the main and running down into the sewer stub or just letting a bunch of sewage sit in the 6-inch stub surrounding the 1-1/4" gravity pipe until the end of time.

Thanks for your input.

Install the force main and fill the 'sleeve' with low slump concrete.

Definitely what we were thinking. The concern is making sure that the concrete doesn't end up in the main, though.

You could also use an expanding poly grout. Put a plug in the downstream end and pump from the upstream end.
